Ranji Trophy match to start in Ramnagar on Saturday

For the first time in Uttarakhand’s cricketing history, a Ranji Trophy match is being played in Ramnagar. The four-day match between Uttarakhand and Railways will begin on Saturday today at the Koshiki Cricket Ground.
Cricket Association of Uttarakhand (CAU) president Deepak Mehra informed that three Ranji Trophy matches will be played out in Uttarakhand this time. “The first match will take place in Ramnagar from October 25 to 28. The second match will be held on November 16 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun between Uttarakhand and Gujarat while the third encounter will be played between Assam and Gujarat on January 29,” he informed, adding that the matches would be played from 9 AM to 5 PM each day.
Notably, BCCI umpires and other technical officials have already arrived in Ramnagar. The ground has been prepared in accordance with BCCI standards.
Mehra also revealed that Dehradun is set to host IPL matches in 2026, marking another historic milestone in Uttarakhand’s cricket journey.
