Rawat exhorts INDI Alliance leaders to prepare strategy to meet current challenges

 Former chief minister Harish Rawat has said that the leaders of INDI Alliance should prepare a strategy to tackle the current challenges. He gave the suggestion during a meeting with the State leaders of the INDI alliance here on Wednesday.

Rawat suggested to the INDI coalition colleagues to form several groups to form a point-wise strategy on various subjects and to prepare a detailed plan for the future. He said that dialogue should be established by going to various areas of the State with various employees, social groups, landless, slum dwellers, senior citizens, teachers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, Bhojan Matas, Guest Teachers, UPNL workers and other organisations fighting for their rightful dues. The former CM said he himself will also participate in these dialogue programmes.

 In the meeting CPI- ML leader, Indresh Maikhuri was entrusted with communicating with the groups engaged in agitation for seeking rights for landless people, including those in Bindukhatta. It was also decided to form a separate group for senior citizens. Similarly, it was decided to support the various justified agitations across the state.

Rawat said that he will go to every area of the State and take the help of INDI Alliance colleagues in such dialogue programmes.

Samajwadi Party leader S N Sachan said that the idea of the welfare State was established to protect the deprived people but the State government is working for the interests of the capitalists.

CPI -M leader Samar Bhandari said that the government wants to collect land and give it to the corporate houses. He added that democracy and the constitution are currently under threat.

CPI-ML leader Indresh Maikhuri said that in Bindukhatta and Bapugram the government is trying to terrorize the people by misinterpreting court orders and usurping their land.
