Rs 1.5 Crore embezzlement case- MI hospital delegation meets DGP

A delegation of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital met the Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Kumar on Monday regarding a case against their former finance manager of the hospital, Saurabh Sharma and his uncle Arvind Sharma for the alleged embezzlementof Rs 1.5 crore. The delegation told the DGP that both the accused are wandering freely despite a legal case being registered against them under non-bailable sections 468, 420, 467, 471 and 120B under Indian Penal Code (IPC). They said that both accused are still at large and can take steps to affect the evidence or harm the complainant Vijay Nautiyal, authorized signatory manager and other staff members of the hospital. They appealed to the DGP to take action and finish the investigation of the case as soon as possible considering both accused can be life threatening to hospital workers and officers. According to the delegation, the DGP listened to their issue and issued orders to the circle officer (CO) of Patelnagar to take necessary action on the matter. It is pertinent to mention here that the management of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital has accused their former finance manager Saurabh Sharma and his uncle Arvind Sharma, owner of Sai Medicos of carrying out alleged fraud of Rs 1.5 crore during the former’s tenure from 2013 to 2016.
