Rs 25,000 reward announced on 7 absconding accused in Doon student’s death

In the death of B Tech student case in Premnagar area of Dehradun after clash between two groups, the police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each on seven absconding accused on Sunday. Earlier, four accused had been arrested by the police and were sent to jail by the court. The police had also sealed two restaurants in this matter.
The incident took place on the night of March 23 in Kehri village, where a fight broke out between two groups of students. During the clash, a student named Divyanshu Jatrana was seriously injured and later died during treatment in the hospital. The injured youth was first taken for treatment to Premnagar from where he was later referred to the Government Doon Medical College hospital due to his serious condition. He died during treatment. The incident had exposed a war for supremacy in a private university, between two groups of youths from different backgrounds.
During the police investigation and after checking CCTV footage, the names of seven more accused came to light. Since they are still on the run, police have taken strict action.
The names of the seven accused released by the police are Ritik Raj, Shantanu Kumar, Ujjwal Singh, Ankur, Adityaraj, Vineet Raj and Prahlad Raj. Non-bailable warrants have been issued against all seven accused by the court. According to officials, police teams are also conducting raids at different places, including locations outside the State to arrest the absconding accused. Officials further said that efforts are ongoing to catch all the accused as soon as possible and further investigation in the case is continuing.
