Rs 4.39 crore released to beneficiaries under MVY

Women Empowerment and Child Development (WECD) minister Rekha Arya released about Rs 4.39 crore to beneficiaries under the Mukhyamantri Vatsalya Yojana (MVY).
After transferring the funds into the beneficiaries’ accounts, she said that under this scheme, the State government has been providing Rs 3,000 per month to children who lost their parents during the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020. She further noted that about Rs 1. 47 crore was released to 4,917 beneficiaries in April, while Rs 1. 46 crore was distributed to 4,879 beneficiaries for May. Additionally, an amount about Rs 1.45 crore has been released to a total of 4,848 beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for June 2026. Beneficiaries will exit from the scheme once they turn 21 years old, get married or secure employment.
