In latest news from Uttarakhand, the principal of a reputable public school in Rudrapur Payal Bharti is suspected to have committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling fan in her flat in the upscale Omaxe Society in the town. It is learnt that her husband Sanjukt Bharti who works in the transport department found her hanging when he returned late in the night. On hearing his scream, their neighbours rushed in and police was informed. The police officers probing the case said that while her youngest daughter was sleeping in her room her elder daughter was out on NCC camp, adding that they had found no suicide note. They further said that they were trying to find out what had prompted her to take the extreme step by questioning her husband and daughters.
