SGHS cover to include workers of autonomous bodies, undertakings

The State Health Authority (SHA) has started the process of implementing the State Government Health Scheme (SGHS) in the autonomous bodies and undertakings associated with the Uttarakhand government. On Saturday a meeting of the representatives of these bodies was held at the SHA. The meeting was chaired by the SHA chief executive officer Arunendra Chauhan.

In the meeting it was decided that the process of making health cards of those employees and pensioners of the autonomous bodies and undertakings who have submitted details of their family members on the SHA portal would start after receipt of their contribution. The entries of the employees, pensioners and their family members of the Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Authority (UREDA), Maharana Pratap Sports College and Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering and Technology have been done in the portal of the SHA and the process of making golden cards for them would start from January 1, 2023.

 In the meeting Chauhan said that the details of the employees, pensioners and their families of the Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam, Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation, Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited (GMVN) and Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan have not been entered on the portal of the SHA yet. He directed these bodies to complete the process of making entries in the portal so that the benefit of SGHS is extended to them.
