Several routes to remain diverted in Doon today, police issue advisory

The Dehradun Police has issued a traffic diversion plan for a proposed rally of Congress against the State government on Monday. According to the information, several routes in the city will be diverted as the rally moves from Parade Ground through different key junctions. Traffic will be diverted at important points including Orient Chowk, Kanak Chowk, Pacific Tiraha, Globe Chowk, Behel Chowk, Dilaram Chowk and Raj Plaza. Vehicles will not be allowed to move behind the rally, and traffic will be regulated or stopped for short periods at some locations to avoid congestion.
Police said vehicles coming from Rajpur Road, Hathibadkala Road, Kalidas Road and nearby areas will be diverted through alternative routes like Darshanlal Chowk, Nashvila Road and Bindal. Commuters have been advised to avoid using Rajpur Road and Hathibadkala Road from 11 AM until the rally ends to prevent inconvenience.
Parking arrangements have also been made with large buses to be parked at Guru Nanak Ground, Race Course. City buses and police vehicles will use Rangers Ground. Small vehicles of those participating in the rally will be parked at Parade Ground, while VIP vehicles will be parked at the Smart City shed parking near Parade Ground.
