The PCC president Karan Mahara has said that the stoic silence adopted by the women leaders of BJP in the Ankita Bhandari murder case is baffling. He said that it took many days for the Women and Child Development minister Rekha Arya to express her views on the case on twitter. Mahara said that the chairman of the Uttarakhand State Commission for Women is also silent on the issue.
He added that the women’s wing of BJP, Durga Vahini and other frontal organisations of the BJP who always remain very vocal on the issues of women and tight lipped in the Ankita Bhandari case.
