Following the directions of district magistrate Savin Bansal, the Social Welfare and Women Welfare department will organise special camps for the physical verification of pensioners on April 22 and April 24. In the first phase of this campaign, a joint team from the Social Welfare, Women Welfare and Rural Development departments will set up camps in the Sahaspur and Doiwala development blocks.
The chief development officer (CDO) Abhinav Shah has instructed all concerned officials to ensure wide publicity for the camps and to complete the verification of 100 per cent of pensioners in a timely manner, so that eligible beneficiaries can continue to receive the benefits of the schemes without interruption.
Further, district social welfare officer Dipankar Ghildiyal informed that the physical verification of pensioners will take place on April 22 at the Panchayat Bhawan in Khushalpur, Sahaspur block and on April 24 at Raika Bullawala in Doiwala block, starting at 11 AM.
Officials have stated that the administration has directed the relevant officials to ensure the mandatory presence of the village Pradhans, assistant social welfare officer and village Panchayat development officers.
The village panchayat development officer will complete the verification process by presenting a copy of the family register on-site. They also added that pensioners (including those who are elderly, disabled, widows and abandoned women) must attend the camp in person and bring the original copies of their voter ID and Aadhaar card. The administration has clarified that pensioners who do not appear for verification on the scheduled dates will have their future pension payments withheld.
