Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU), Jolly Grant, has been placed in the 201-300 global rank band in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026.
The president of SRHU, Vijay Dhasmana stated that this achievement provides global validation of the university’s commitment to quality education, research, healthcare services, community engagement and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Notably, this ranking assesses universities based on their contributions to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their tangible, real-world impact on society.

“SRHU has delivered a remarkably strong performance across several specific SDG categories: SDG-6,
SDG-12, SDG-3, SDG-7, SDG-17  and SDG-9,” Dhasmana said and added that  the university is not only imparting world-class medical and health sciences education but is also making transformative contributions to research, innovation, community healthcare and environmental sustainability.

The university has previously been acclaimed by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and holds ‘A+’ Grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) — a testament to its educational quality and institutional strength.

Dhasmana emphasised that SRHU’s core mission extends beyond academic boundaries to active societal development. “Through robust rural healthcare programmes, community service initiatives, public awareness campaigns and localized research, the university continuously strives to uplift the living standards of diverse communities,” he added.
