Taking a serious note of instances of indiscipline the leadership of Uttarakhand Congress is planning to take strict disciplinary action on some leaders. The party is said to have made up its mind to take action on the senior leader of the party Rajendra Shah who is accused of editing the speech of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara.

This video went viral and caused much embarrassment to the PCC president. The ruling BJP took advantage of the video and blamed the PCC president of insulting the people of Garhwal. The issue is being examined by the disciplinary committee of the party headed by former cabinet minister Navprabhat the PCC president said on Friday that one should look is entire video and not the edited version. “I tender my apology if I have offended the feelings of the people,’’ he said.

In response to a question, Mahara said that the disciplinary committee of the party is looking in the case of involvement of party leaders in the edited video case.

It is pertinent to mention here that while considering action on its own leader, the Congress is also accusing the BJP IT cell of editing videos of speeches by Congress leaders.
