Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the State government is closely monitoring the situation in Joshimath city which is facing threat from land subsidence. Interacting with the media persons here on Wednesday, the CM said that he personally is monitoring things and has recently held a meeting with the chief secretary (CS) and the officers of the State disaster control and mitigation department. Dhami said that he has sought a report from the officers on Joshimath land subsidence problem and soon a team of experts would visit the city to assess the situation. The CM said that he too would visit Joshimath soon.
