Girls under 18 whose intimate images have been created or altered using AI or deepfake technology can now access a service through a portal developed by the cyber team of the Special Task Force that helps them seek removal of such content, officials said on Wednesday.

The STF senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh said the cyber team had developed Cyberportalhub.org to bring different cybercrime reporting and support services together on one platform. The portal is aimed at helping people find the appropriate service when they face online fraud, social media abuse or other cyber related problems.

“If an image or video of a person under 18 is created or altered using AI or deepfake technology and used in an inappropriate manner, they can use StopNCII.org portal to take it down to service themselves,” Singh said.

He said that users can submit a screenshot and the link to the website or social media platform where the content has been posted. He said the service can then help in getting the content removed.

The StopNCII.org portal also provides other support services for sensitive cases involving women and children. Take it down is specifically designed for intimate images or videos taken when a person was under 18.

The Cyber Portal Hub also provides links for managing UPI AutoPay and recurring mandates. Users can check their active mandates and manage or disable unnecessary ones, where the concerned service allows it.

People whose social media accounts have been hacked, impersonated or copied can also access official reporting and grievance channels through the portal.

Singh said that the initiative is intended to make cyber related services easier to find and urged people to report online fraud and other cybercrimes promptly through official platforms.
