Shri Venkateshwara University organised a ‘Dialogue Programme and Felicitation Ceremony’ on the topic ‘Judiciary is the Guardian of the Constitution’ on Friday.
While interacting with the law students, Justice Praveen Kumar Giri of Allahabad High Court described the judiciary as the protector of civil rights, the basis of power balance of the government, the guardian of the Constitution and the vehicle for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.   The chairman of the Venkateshwara group of institutions, Sudhir Giri said that the four pillars of democracy, namely, legislature, executive, media and judiciary, are indispensable for protecting the fundamental rights of citizens and establishing a dictatorship-free/fear-free rule of law in the country.

The superintendent of police, Amroha, Amit Kumar Anand said that the four pillars
complement one another and they together build a robust democracy, protecting the rights of one and all.
