The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at the Tapovan Vishnugad Hydropower Project vibrantly. The programme commenced with the executive director and project head, Ajay Kumar Shukla having hoisted the tricolour on the flag rampart. After inspecting the guard of honour, Shukla addressed the employees, stressing on safety of all involved in the project execution. He also presented NTPC and Tapovan project’s achievements and thanked the CISF personnel among others for their crucial role in running the project.
Thereafter, he felicitated the outstanding employees of the project and the winners of the Health Champion Award. This was followed by the employees taking out
a Tiranga Yatra in the NTPC township.
