In latest news from Uttarakhand, an administrative officer posted at the office of tehsildar was found dead in a hotel room located on Tehsil Marg in Bageshwar. It is learnt from the police officers investigating the death that the hotel employees found the officer unconscious and they rushed to the police station to inform police. The unconscious officer was then taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance and the doctors declared him brought dead. On being informed of the matter, the police station in-charge Kailash Negi reached the hospital. Police took the body in their custody and kept it at a mortuary. The deceased was identified as 59-year-old Gopal Singh Adhikari, hailing from Haldwani in Nainital district. He had been staying in a hotel room on Tehsil Road in Bageshwar for some time. It is further learnt that the tehsildar along with other tehsil employees reached the hospital immediately on being informed. The police station in-charge said that the relatives of the deceased have been informed and the investigation into his death has started. Importantly, the Bageshwar district sports officer was found dead in his room about a fortnight ago.
