THDC India Limited commemorated its 39th foundation day at its corporate office, Rishikesh, and across all projects and unit offices nationwide. The celebrations commenced with flag hoisting ceremony by the managing director, THDCIL, Sipan Kumar Garg.
Addressing the gathering, he reflected on THDCIL’s remarkable journey since its inception and acknowledged the dedication and collective efforts of its employees in shaping it into one of India’s leading power sector enterprises.
He stated that the company’s total installed capacity has now reached 3,907 MW, with the recent commissioning of the 1000 MW Tehri Variable Speed Pumped Storage Plant and the 1320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project, marking significant milestones in THDCIL’s growth journey.
Employees were felicitated under various award categories, including the meritorious awards, suggestion mela awards, innovation awards and swift decision-making awards.
A number of senior officers of this public sector unit were present during the commemorative ceremony at Rishikesh.
