The chief minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officials concerned to further ramp up security for the ongoing Kanawd Yatra. He stressed on maximum use of drone technology and CCTV camera surveillance. Also, he instructed officials to ensure fool-proof security for the border areas of the State while asking the officers concerned to see to it that verification is done strictly in every district.
He further directed the departments concerned to remain fully prepared for any rain-triggered natural calamity. He laid emphasis on strengthening ambulance service and ensuring women’s safety in a disaster scenario.
The CM moreover stressed on zero tolerance on smuggling and sale of narcotics, warning that the police officers, if found lax in tackling the drug menace seriously, would face consequences.
