A large number of tourists arrived in Nainital for the weekend. While those involved in various businesses dependent on tourists were happy with the arrivals, the resulting traffic congestion and crowding caused inconvenience to the local residents. The sudden rise in number of visitors on Saturday resulted in major traffic congestion in the hill station of Nainital.
According to observers though a large number of people are flocking to Nainital these days, most of these are day visitors who are not spending the night here. Despite this, most of the hotels in the city are packed due to the large number of tourists arriving here. Apart from Nainital, the arrival of tourists has also seen a rise in nearby tourist destinations including Bhimtal, Mukteshwar, Ramgarh and Pangoth.
In Nainital, the tourists were seen visiting the usual tourist attractions including the Mall Road, zoo, cave garden and Hanumangarhi among other sites. Many were also seen thronging the temples including Naina Devi, Pashan Devi, Ghodakhal and Kainchi Dham among others. As usual, a large number of visitors could also be seen shopping for various items including warm clothing in the city.
