Tributes paid to Sardar Patel on 75th death anniversary

Glowing tributes were paid to the first Home minister of the country and recipient of Bharat Ratna, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 75th death anniversary on Monday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered floral tributes on the portrait of Patel at the Chief Minister’s residence on the day.
He said that Sardar Patel, through his visionary leadership, patriotic thinking and indomitable courage, unified the country’s many princely states and laid the foundation for a united and strong India. His unwavering resolve, discipline and dedication to national interests are a source of inspiration for everyone. He said that Sardar Patel’s contribution to the nation’s unity, integrity and harmony will always be unforgettable.
A programme was also organised at the headquarters of the State Congress to mark the day. The Congress leaders remembered the great leader by garlanding his picture. Congress general secretary Rajendra Singh Bhandari said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel played a crucial role in unifying the country’s various provinces and laid the foundation for a strong India, for which a grateful nation will always remember him. The Congress party has always succeeded in fostering an atmosphere of communal harmony and brotherhood, but today, some disruptive forces are once again working to drag the country back.
