Former chief minister and MP, Haridwar, Trivendra Singh Rawat visited several areas, including Jogiwala Mafi, Chak Jogiwala, Sahabnagar, Raiwala and Chhidarwala, coming under the Rishikesh Assembly constituency limits on Saturday as part of his field inspection of the areas affected by the recent flood. He also interacted with the locals. He assured them that the Centre and the State government are standing shoulder to shoulder with them.
The officers of several departments, including Revenue, Irrigation and Forest, were present with him during the inspection. Rawat made it clear to them that
providing prompt relief to every family affected by the disaster must be the top priority of the administration. “Together, we will overcome this crisis,” he told them.
