Police have arrested two accused in house theft in the Selaqui area, while one juvenile involved in the incident has been taken into protection. The police also recovered stolen jewellery and electronic items worth about five lakh.
According to the police, the complainant, Amar Singh Barwal, a resident of Rajawala, reported that thieves had stolen jewellery and household electronic items from his house. After receiving the complaint, Selaqui police registered a case and started the investigation.
The police team inspected the crime scene and checked CCTV cameras installed on nearby roads. On Tuesday, during routine checking at Raja Road Tiraha, the police arrested the two accused Anuj Kumar and Mohit Thakur, both aged 19 years, on the basis of informer information. A juvenile involved in the theft was also identified and taken into protection.
