Two men were killed when a dumper carrying concrete rammed into a tree in Dhoolkot forest of Dehradun district on Wednesday morning. The driver and his companion died at the spot, as per the officials. They said that the Premnagar police received information around 4:30 AM about an accident in Dhoolkot forest.
The police reached the spot and retrieved the bodies from the vehicle. According to them, the driver was going towards Selaqui after getting sand and other concrete material weighed in the Premnagar area early in the morning. The driver allegedly lost control of the dumpster on the way and crashed it into a tree in Dhoolkot forest. The police have identified the deceased as Sahaspur residents, Intezar Ahmad (27) and Dilshad (29). The officials said that both bodies were kept in the mortuary for post-mortem after the police carried out Panchnama. The police are investigating the matter and will take action accordingly.
