In keeping the Pushkar Singh Dhami government’s commitment to zero tolerance on corruption, the State government has suspended the controller (finance) of Uttarakhand Ayurved University Amit Jain. The action came following allegation being levelled against Jain that despite being transferred, he kept on issuing cheques. A secret investigation was carried out into the allegation at the behest of the chief minister and the allegation was found to have substance. Immediate action followed as the CM ordered the officer concerned to suspend Jain. The chief minister’s secretariat also confirmed this move to suspend Jain.
