The Dehradun regional office of Uttarakhand Gramin Bank organised a special event to celebrate International Women’s Day.
According to officials, 30 female staff members from the Dehradun branch were invited to participate in the event. State Nodal Officer for Women and Child Development in Uttarakhand Aarti Balodi was the chief guest on the occasion. In her address, she spoke about women’s rights and their achievements. “Women are the backbone of society and without them, the development of society is impossible,” she said.
During the programme, the female employees were honoured for their contributions. They also recited poetry and performed songs on the occasion. General manager from the bank’s head office Bharti Naudiyal and other officials were also present on the occasion.
