UJVNL appreciated for DRIP works
Representatives of the UJVN Limited were presented memento and the corporation’s work in Maneri dams and the Dakpatthar, Asan and Pashulok barrages under the Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP) was appreciated at an event held at the Central Water Commission. The programme funded by the World Bank is implemented by the Central Water Commission.
The corporation’s general manager and DRIP nodal officer Pankaj Kulshreshth presented the memento to the corporation’s managing director Sandeep Singhal at the UJVNL headquarters. Singhal expressed happiness at the corporation completing works in the first stage of DRIP on time, adding that appreciation from the World Bank and CWC is an achievement for the corporation. Under DRIP, work is undertaken to extend the working life of old and deteriorated dams and barrages through rehabilitation, renovation and repair along with work to bring about improvements.
