On the occasion of Uttarakhand’s silver jubilee, commemorative events were held on Sunday in Bhararisain (Gairsain), the State’s summer capital. The event, held at the Bhararisain Assembly complex, was inaugurated by the district panchayat chairman Daulat Singh Bisht. Following this, a rally and various cultural programmes were held.
Thereafter, ITBP, IRB, Civil Armed Police, Home Guard, Women Constable Civil Police/Fire Service and NCC Women Squad performed a parade to the tune of the band of 46th Battalion PAC. At the same time, the girl students of GIC Bhararisain and other educational institutions presented cultural programmes.
