U’khand Cong organises march on 1st anniv of Bharat Jodo Yatra

The Uttarakhand Congress organised a march on the first anniversary of the Bharat Jodo Yatra of former president of Congress party Rahul Gandhi in Dehradun on Thursday. The march led by In charge of State Congress Devendra Yadav and the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara commenced from the headquarters of State Congress and ended at the martyr’s memorial at the collectorate. Large number of Congress party leaders and workers participated in the march.
Speaking on the occasion, Yadav said that Bharat Jodo Yatra was a pilgrimage and it will continue. He said that the Congress workers will continue to carry the ideals, inspiration and objectives of the Bharat Jodo Yatra forward. The PCC president Karan Mahara said that some forces are trying to create conflict between India and Bharat. The leader of opposition (LoP) in the State assembly, Yashpal Arya said that Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the hearts of crores of Indians.
Former chief minister Harish Rawat said that the Yatra will continue till the end of hatred in the country. Former PCC president, Pritam Singh said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra was a revolutionary event in Indian political history and it was based on subjects such as the increasing social disparity, polarisation and political dictatorship. At the culmination of the march the leaders paid floral tributes at the martyr’s memorial.
The deputy leader of Congress legislature party Bhuwan Kapdi, party MLAs and other leaders took part in the march.
