Uttarakhand government has given its approval for construction of a 300-bed hospital and a medical college with 100 MBBS seats in Rudrapur of Udham Singh Nagar district. This medical college and associated hospital will help in providing modern health services for the people of Terai and mountainous areas.
The Health secretary R Rajesh Kumar said that the State is moving forward to accomplish the target of ‘one district one medical college’. He said that once functional the Rudrapur medical college will give a new impetus to the health services in the State.
