U’khand Govt declares public holiday on October 1

The State government has declared a public holiday in Uttarakhand on the occasion of Mahanavami (October 1) in the State. All the government offices in the State will remain closed on the day.
Revoking powers under the Negotiable Instruments Act -1881 the State government has also declared holiday on October 1 in the banks and treasury offices. The notification for holiday was issued by the secretary of General Administration department Vinod Kumar Suman.
The employee organisations of the State had made a demand to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami that a publicd holiday should be declared on October 1.
