U’khand govt to organise Yoga Day programme in Gairsain today

The Uttarakhand government will organise its official State level programme on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga at Bharaidsain in the summer capital Gairsain in Chamoli district on Saturday.
The programme will be organised in the premises of the Vidhan Sabha located at an altitude of 7,800 feet above sea level. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the ambassadors of eight countries will participate in a yoga session in the morning.
The ambassador of Mexico in India Federico Salas, the high commissioner of Fiji in India Jaganath Sammi, the ambassador of Nepal Shankar Prasad Sharma, the ambassador of Surinam in India Arunkoemar Hardien, ambassador of Mongolia in India Ganbold Dambajav, the deputy head of mission in the embassy of Latvia in India Marks Deitons, minister counsellor in embassy of Sri Lanka Laxmendra Dissanayake, secretary first in Russian embassy in India Christiania Ananeena and secretary third Katerina Lazareva and Yoga Guru Swami Bharat Bhushan arrived in Bharadisain on the eve of the International Day of Yoga.
The pristine and green valleys, natural beauty and clean premises of Bharadisain enthralled the foreign guests. They praised Gairsain and termed it amazingly beautiful. The Chholia dancers and other folk artists welcomed the guests with their performances.
The observers opined that the decision of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to organise State level function on the occasion of International day for Yoga at Gairsain is a master stroke to highlight the summer capital of the State. The decision will ensure national and international recognition to Gairsain and help in establishing the area nestled amid Garhwal Himalayas as centre of Ayush and wellness.
