The Bharatiya Janata Party has hailed its campaign for the urban local body elections as a resounding success, claiming that the saffron wave will sweep through cities and towns once again. The BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt stated that under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the party is set to achieve a century of wins in the local bodies.

He further stated that every vote cast in favour of the BJP will contribute to the development, prosperity and welfare of the urban areas. These votes will also be a decisive response to the negative politics that opposes development and heritage, he said. Bhatt described the three-week intensive campaign led by Dhami as a highly successful and decisive effort. He claimed that feedback from all municipal corporations, municipalities and Nagar Panchayats where elections are scheduled for January 23 indicated an overwhelming wave in favour of the BJP. Apart from Dhami, Bhatt also credited former chief ministers, MPs, MLAs, party officials and dedicated workers for their relentless efforts in spreading the party’s message of achievements and commitments to the masses.

In preparation for the elections, Bhatt said that the party had begun its organisational efforts three months prior to the announcement of the election dates. With the successful implementation of candidate selection and the campaign, the party now stands at the brink of victory. He claimed that the party’s pre-determined strategy will ensure victory at the booth level and guarantee the success of BJP candidates. The State media in-charge of BJP Manveer Singh Chauhan also elaborated on the party’s final preparations, explaining that after the campaign’s conclusion, workers will embark on an intensive door-to-door outreach campaign.

The party plans to activate booth-level representatives, who will engage with voters, distribute voter slips and educate them about the correct use of the ballot papers. Volunteers will ensure that each voter is contacted multiple times, urging them to cast their vote for the BJP’s lotus symbol. The BJP will also make efforts to increase voter turnout on January 23 with the help of booth agents and other workers already assigned to their respective roles, he added.
