The Bharatiya Janata Party State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt alleged that having failed to defeat the BJP electorally, the Congress is playing dirty political tricks to gain power. After having failed to win the trust of the people, it is now attempting to break the mutual trust among members of society, he said.
In a statement issued to the media on Monday, the BJP State president opined that the Congress had consistently failed to win the hearts and trust of the public. “Frustrated by repeated electoral defeats, the Congress is now conspiring to damage the social fabric. It is now indulging in negative and dangerous casteist politics to disrupt the mutual harmony and faith in society. Since the aware people of Uttarakhand have completely rejected the Congress at every front, the frustrated Congress leaders have been conspiring to defame Uttarakhand at the national level. It is highly condemnable and unfortunate that the party is trying to dent the peace and image of development due to loss of its political ground. The Uttarakhand Congress doesn’t have any vision of policies of its own left anymore. Their main focus is only on appeasing Rahul Gandhi and justifying his immature statements. The party leaders are neither bothered about the people of Uttarakhand nor about the State’s development,” Bhatt said.
The State’s people clearly understand these political games, conspiracies and negative motives of the Congress. It will get a befitting reply by the people through their votes, he added.
