The union government has released an advance sum of Rs 455.60 crore to Uttarakhand for the financial year 2025-26 as the central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).
The amount has been released as per the recommendation of the 15th Finance Commission. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the release of the advance.
He said that this amount will be spent on disaster relief work in Uttarakhand. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has provided support to Uttarakhand in every difficult time, for this the people of Uttarakhand are especially grateful to the PM,’’ he said.
