Congress has said that instead of questioning the leader of opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal should first look at the departments he is heading and the miserable condition of the State.
Responding to the charges levelled by Uniyal in his press conference on Tuesday, the chief spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that the Uttarakhand minister has no moral right to ask questions from Gandhi.
“Rahul Gandhi is the Leader of the Opposition and it is his constitutional and political responsibility to raise issues concerning the country’s youth, students and democratic rights. Therefore, instead of worrying about him, Uniyal should focus on his departments and the State,’’ she said.
The Congress leader said the minister should also examine the health department of the State which is on a ventilator.
Claiming that the minister is not aware of the fact, Dasauni said that the Jharkhand government has held several rounds of talks with students and has addressed many of their demands. The government has cancelled JPSC examinations and resignations have occurred at the top level of the commission. She added that Gandhi has criticized use of force by police against students in Jharkhand.
She said that in Uttarakhand, irregularities and paper leaks in recruitment examinations have spoiled the future of thousands of youth but the government has refused to take accountability.
