UP man found dead in rented room in Mussoorie

A man was found dead in his rented room at Mussoorie in Dehradun district on Tuesday. The 36-year-old, originally from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, had reportedly not stepped out of his room for two days. The officials informed that neighbours grew concerned when they did not see him outside and informed the landlord. When the room was opened, the man was found lying dead on his bed. Locals then informed the police. The officials stated that a police team reached the spot after getting information, took the body into custody and sent it to the sub-district hospital for post-mortem. They said that the police did not recover any note or suspicious material from the room. They stated that the room was sealed immediately after police reached the spot and a forensic team was called for examination. They claimed that the cause of death is not yet known and the police are investigating the case. The officials informed that the man reportedly worked as a daily wager as per the locals. Police are trying to get more information about the deceased like his proper name and address to contact the man’s family for further details, they added. They said that the police will be able to shed some light on how he died after the post mortem report.
