CS directs departments to prepare agenda for Central Zonal Council meeting

Chief secretary Anand Bardhan chaired a review meeting held at the State secretariat to prepare the agenda of the State for the upcoming meeting of Central Zonal Council (CZC). The CS directed all such departments which have not yet sent the agenda of the cases to be presented to the standing committee of the CZC to immediately prepare and submit their agenda. The agenda in the meeting will be presented by the departments on behalf of the State in the next meeting of the CZC. He directed that the agenda should contain a clear and concise description of all aspects including the level of cooperation or amendments required from the government of India.
Bardhan directed the Social Welfare department to prepare a request for correction of the spelling of the word Jaunsari/ Jensari in the portal of the Ministry of Scheduled Tribes. He also directed that legal assistance should be sought if legislative amendment is needed in the case. He also directed the Social Welfare department to prepare an agenda for the establishment of an Eklavya Model school for the Bhotia and Raji tribes in Pithoragarh district and an increase in the pensions under the social security schemes. In the meeting, the CS directed the Rural Development department to prepare a request to consider creating an alternative for the socio economic and caste census (SECC) so that action can be taken easily regarding social security schemes.
He directed the Disaster Management, Power, Peyjal and Irrigation departments to prepare an agenda for increasing the compensation amount for the assets damaged by the disaster. The CS said that the Transport department should prepare a request for the extension Regional Rapid Transit System(RRTS) from Modinagar in Meerut ( Uttar Pradesh) to Haridwar and also to prepare an agenda mentioning the provision for road construction in the Tanakpur-Bageshwar and Rishikesh-Uttarkashi rail projects. He asked the Agriculture department to prepare an agenda regarding the matter related to Mandi fee. Secretaries Sachin Kurve, Vinod Kumar Suman, BVRC Purushottam, Brijesh Sant and other officers attended the meeting.
