UPES 65th in NIRF 2022 rankings

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has been ranked 65 under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The NIRF 2022 rankings for all colleges and institutions across India were announced by the Union Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Along with the university ranking, the UPES School of Engineering has been ranked 61, School of Business has been ranked 41 among management institutions and UPES School of Law has been ranked 21 in India.

Commenting on the rankings, UPES vice chancellor Sunil Rai said, “It is a proud moment for UPES to be among the top institutions in India. Our university ranking along with individual school rankings have been moving up year after year and we remain committed to our vision of being an institution of global standing. It is a huge achievement for UPES and we will continue to revolutionise education combining world class teaching practices and strong academia and nurturing students as future changemakers.”

This year UPES witnessed major placements with over 4,000 offers by recruiters, amounting to 20 plus offers per day. With placements across more than 20 sectors in Indian and global corporations, UPES placement figures and annual packages have surpassed previous numbers.

UPES is a multi-disciplinary university which offers specialised under-graduate and post-graduate programmes through its eight schools.
