Addressing the 23rd convocation of UPES in Dehradun on Monday, Acharya Balkrishna said that the spirit of service should never slacken. “Patanjali’s strength lies in continuity in service and it is expanding its service network across the world under the inspiration of Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev,” he added. Notably, Acharya Balkrishna, who was present at the convocation as the chief guest, was presented with Doctor of Philosophy (Honorary PhD) in recognition of his achievements. He further said that presenting such an honour to him and the organisation he was working for would motivate them to serve humanity with greater zeal.
At the event, the UPES vice-chancellor, Ram Sharma hailed Acharya Balkrishna’s dedication and contribution to the service of humanity. “The graduating students should draw inspiration from him and begin a new innings of their lives with renewed energy,” he said. He lauded his leadership in making the Patanjali model a leading business model in the country.
Acharya Balkrishna thanked the chancellor of the university, Sunil Rai and the VC for the honour bestowed on him.
