Urmila arrives in Doon, police records statements in Ankita murder case

The arrival of Urmila Sanawar, the estranged wife of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore in Dehradun on late Tuesday night has made the authorities and Police vigilant. After her arrival in Dehradun, Urmila told some media persons that she had come to the city with evidence in the Ankita Bhandari murder case.
Urmila appeared before the Dehradun police to record her statement on Wednesday. The police had summoned her to record her statements in the cases registered against her in Dalanwala and Nehru colony police stations. As per the police the investigation officers (IO) of both the cases, recorded her statement and video recorded the proceedings. Urmila handed over the audio recordings of her with former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore. The police will send these recordings to its forensic lab. In a statement, the police clarified that Urmila gave no other evidence as claimed by her in the social media platforms. Urmila has also submitted a letter to the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Dehradun regarding her security. In the letter the SSP has sought a detailed report from the local intelligence unit (LIU).
In Dehradun, Urmila was accompanied by Swami Darshan Bharti. Interacting with some journalists, Bharti said that a narco test of both — Urmila and her estranged husband Suresh Rathore -should be conducted so that the truth on the murder of Ankita Bhandari and involvement of VIP emerges out. He also said that if Urmila is also found lying, she should be punished as well. Bharti also claimed that there is an old animosity between national general secretary of BJP Dushyant Gautam and Rathore.
Interacting with some journalists on her arrival in Dehradun, Urmila claimed that she had come to Dehradun with evidence related to the Ankita Bhandari murder case. Pertinently, four cases have already been registered against Urmila Sanawar and Suresh Rathore. These include allegations related to making audios viral on social media.
Meanwhile, a new audio of Urmila and Rathore went viral on social media on Wednesday. In the audio, it has come to light that Rathore asked Urmila to deliberately take the name of Dushyant Gautam in the Ankita case.
