USERC observes Earth Day through virtual lecture program

To mark the Earth Day, Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC) hosted a virtual lecture programme for the students studying in various schools of the State.
While presiding over the programme, the USERC director Anita Rawat said that the best way to protect the earth lay through connecting themselves with the science-based traditions in vogue here since the ancient times. She suggested a holistic approach meant to protect the earth as well as plants, animals and humans living on it. Further, she stressed on adoption of a lifestyle based on love for nature.
An USERC scientist Bhavatosh Sharma explained the conservation of the five elements of nature as well as energy conservation in detail to the students through a power-point presentation. Over 150 students and teachers from 25 schools participated in the programme.
