Vaccination campaign against Cervical Cancer launched in border area

A community health centre in a border area has launched a HPV vaccination campaign to protect women from the deadly cervical cancer. This vaccine will be administered to girls between the ages of nine and 14.
The Health department sources said that Marwadi resident Meenakshi Rawat was the first to get the first vaccine. The CHC in-charge Dr Gautam Bhardwaj said that this vaccine is given to prevent cervical cancer, adding that this could be prevented through vaccination of girls aged between 9 to 14 years.
