In coordination with Mera Yuva Bharat, Nainital under Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports as well as National Service Scheme, Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026 is set to be organised on Wednesday in the DSB campus of Kumaun University. Sharing details,
the deputy director of Mera Yuva Bharat Nainital, Tewatia said that the purpose of this district level programme is to inspire the youth to actively participate in parliamentary traditions and nation-building. “This year the theme of the Youth Parliament has been set as 50 years of Emergency: Lessons for Indian Democracy,” Tewatia said, adding that the participants would be given three minutes each to present their views. Youth in the age group of 18 to 25 years (till September 10, 2025) will be eligible to participate and those Interested can participate by directly appearing at the venue on the scheduled date. “To ensure participation, they will have to bring a passport-sized photograph and a photocopy of their identity card,” Tewatia informed.
The Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026 will provide a powerful platform for youth to express their views, engage in dialogue on contemporary national issues and develop leadership and oratory skills. Based on the performance of participants at this district-level event, 10 participants will be selected for the state-level competition. Subsequently, the top three participants from each state will be selected for the national level. The national-level Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad 2026 will be held in New Delhi.
