PNS/ UTTARKASHI
The Magh Mela which started in Uttarkashi on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti will continue for a week. Villagers in large numbers are reaching Uttarkashi to participate in the fair rich with the religious and cultural traditions of Uttarkashi. The district magistrate Meherban Singh Bisht had inaugurated the fair after villagers came
with palanquins carrying the folk deities and religious symbols to participate in the Magh Mela. They took a holy dip in the Ganga. Students presented songs and dance performance on the occasion.
