VS Speaker unveils Tilu Rauteli’s statue in Kotdwar

The statue of Tilu Rauteli not only serves as a symbol of pride for Kotdwar but also powerfully showcases the rich culture and history of Uttarakhand, according to the Speaker of the Uttarakhand Assembly, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan. She said this while unveiling Rauteli’s statue in Kotdwar on Wednesday.

The statue was unveiled during a ceremony that included traditional rituals, Vedic chanting and cultural performances. A significant number of public representatives, administrative officials, social workers, intellectuals and city residents attended the event. 

During her address, Bhushan described the brave woman Rauteli as an immortal symbol of female valour, self-respect and patriotism. Her life represents an inspiring tale of struggle, courage and sacrifice that will continue to guide future generations, she said. Other speakers at the event elaborated on Rauteli’s unparalleled bravery, social contributions and her historical significance. They paid homage to her and urged everyone to embrace her ideals.

The residents expressed great enthusiasm and pride for this historic occasion. The Tilu Rauteli Vichar Manch extended its gratitude to all the guests, supporting organisations, the administration and citizens for making the event a success. 

Among those present at the occasion were Kotdwar mayor Shailendra Rawat, Mandal BJP president Vikasdeep Mittal and others.
