Nainital-based Lake City Welfare Club has decided to celebrate the Women’s Holi Festival on February 22. The decision was taken unanimously at a meeting chaired by the president of the club, Abha Shah. Notably, the club has been celebrating the Women’s Holi for years.
Abha Shah stated that women’s Holi teams from Bhimtal, Bhowali and Haldwani would be invited to the festival, in addition to the team from the city. “The club will also felicitate five women among the Holi revellers,” she said, adding that preparations for the festival have already begun.
The club’s secretary Sarita Tripathi was among other present at the meeting.
