The State government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken various decisions during the past two years to ensure welfare of youth, women and various segments of society. Women Empowerment and Child Development and Sports and Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya said this while addressing the media in Almora on the completion of two years in office by the Dhami government. She said that the implementation of strict anti-copying law in Uttarakhand is driving out the mafia which was facilitating the use of unfair means in competitive exams for various government jobs. Considered to be the strictest anti-copying law in the country, this provision has helped secure the future of youth who study and work hard to secure government jobs in the State, she said.

The minister expressed confidence that Uttarakhand will emerge as a leading State in the country by achieving all round development and fulfilling the aspirations of the people under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The State government is committed to continuing the developmental journey of Uttarakhand, she said.

Arya also expressed gratitude to the CM for working for the entire state by making way for implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC). She highlighted that in the past two years, Uttarakhand has excelled not only in the tourism sector but also in industrial investment, employment generation, women empowerment, youth welfare, developing a modern education system and improved health facilities.
