Work-Integrated Learning for Leadership (WILL) – in partnership with UPES– announced on Monday the inauguration of the Shakti Women Leadership Programme, aimed at empowering women professionals in the energy sector. Among the dignitaries present at the inauguration were the secretary, Energy, Housing and Planning of the Uttarakhand Government R Meenakshi Sundaramand MD of Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Ltd (PTCUL) P C Dhyanibesides the ED-HR of Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd (UJVNL) Ashish Jain and deputy chief personnel officer, Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) Jitendra Singh. The inaugural cohort comprises 12 participants from UJVNL, eight from UPCL, 12 from PTCUL and two from UREDA.
The event commenced with addresses by the vice-chancellor, UPES, Ram Sharma and the director (Academics) Executive Education, WILL Education and Programme Chair Antarpreet Singh. They bothhighlighted the need to empower women leaders in various industries.
