A woman from Mehuwala Mafi in Dehradun has filed a complaint against her husband and his family members. The woman, Ayesha, said that she married Naim on May 10, 2025. She said her husband has given her divorce and said talaq three times after an argument. She also accused Naim of harassing her for dowry and demanding a car from her family.
According to Ayesha, her family had already given a motorcycle and gold jewellery at the time of the marriage. She said that Naim later sold her jewellery and the motorcycle. When she told her brother about this, Naim threatened to kill them. Ayesha also said that Naim’s brother-in-law Irshad and his sister Naima also misbehaved with her and provoked Naim against her.
Ayesha said that on November 2, Naim physically assaulted her and then gave her triple talaq. After this, he left her at his sister’s house and did not contact her again. He also made an allegation that Naim forced her to make physical relations with his brother-in-law and friends and on refusal beat her badly.
Ayesha said she has now come to know that Niam has sold the house and left Dehradun, leaving her alone and helpless. Senior Superintendent of Police, Dehradun Ajai Singh said that the complaint of the woman has been registered and the Police have started investigation in the matter.
